Foundation Papered. This little mare has been a constant surprise to us. Her dam, Cinnamon, nearly always produces pinto, but not this time and for a long time we could not tell what her color was. Thanks to modern technology, we were able to test her at UCD and she is a Smoky Black, carries one copy of sorrel, one of black and one of the cream gene. She is intensely Col. Cody bred and is growing out extremely refined and elegant. She will probably stay under 43", but considering her bloodline, we would be reluctant to sell her -- even if she is smaller than we want.
